However, <strong>the 13th congress<\/strong> had to <strong>be held digitally this year due to the coronavirus.<\/strong> <strong>From the 24. to November 25<\/strong>  the focus was on the current legal framework and the economic prospects of plant operators.\nThese have deteriorated noticeably in the past, meaning that the 2020 congress focused in particular on <strong>innovations in theory and practice for optimizing existing systems<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>The substrate mix in the system plays an important role here.\nBecause <strong>more manure and less maize means a higher yield<\/strong>.\nProvided that the side effects &#8211; e.g. the formation of floating layers &#8211; are successfully prevented. <strong>BIOPRACT has developed a range of enzymatic solutions to optimize biogas plants and prevent problems in the fermentation process<\/strong>.\nDuring the congress, Dr. rer.\nnat. <strong>Angelika Hanreich<\/strong> (R&amp;D Manager at BIOPRACT) presented one of them as part of the topic <strong>&#8220;Fermentation process and technology&#8221;<\/strong>.\nHer presentation focused on the <strong>&#8220;Development of an innovative additive to prevent floating layers when using straw in biogas plants&#8221;<\/strong>.\nShe explained how the enzymes work in the biogas plant and the advantages for the operator.\n <strong>The<\/strong> focus was on <strong>the new enzyme product <sup>UltraSweep\u00ae<\/sup> from BIOPRACT<\/strong>, whose innovative combination of different active ingredients has already been registered for patent.       <\/p>\n\n<p>You can view the <strong>entire program of the 13th Biogas Innovation Congress<\/strong> here:<br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biogas-innovationskongress.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&gt;&gt; https:\/\/www.biogas-innovationskongress.de\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The lecture<\/strong> by Dr. rer. nat.
