About Us –
Innovation and Expertise in Enzyme Technology

Biotechnological Expertise for Agriculture and Industry

Since 1992, Biopract has focused on the development, application, and analysis of technical enzyme products. In 1996, we took over global customer service analytics for feed enzymes, and later expanded to enzymes used in human nutrition for DSM-Firmenich. Today, we analyze enzyme activity in over 15,000 individual samples annually using more than 30 distinct methods.

Advanced Laboratory Infrastructure

Our extensive experience and specialized lab setup allow us to deliver precise, differentiated analyses at the highest scientific level. Located in Berlin-Adlershof, we benefit from close proximity to leading research institutions, fostering collaboration and innovation. As a research-driven company, we value strong partnerships with academic institutions both locally and internationally.

Pioneering Biogas Research
In 2001, our scientists recognized the potential of enzymes in anaerobic fermentation—especially for enhancing biogas production. This led to the development of several product lines that improve the digestibility of challenging biomass and boost the efficiency of biogas plants.

Unique Expertise and Certified Quality

Biopract holds unique knowledge in enzyme applications for anaerobic digestion. Our laboratory and production facilities are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, ensuring consistent quality and reliability.

Innovative Products and Market Leadership

With the launch of the UltraPract product line in 2017, we established Biopract ABT, a dedicated sales company focused on the needs of biogas operators. Biopract ABT offers high-performance products and lab-based consulting, and has been a member of the German Biogas Association since its founding.

In Summary

For over 30 years, Biopract has set industry standards in enzyme development, application, and analytics for agriculture and industry. Our innovative products and outstanding analytical capabilities contribute to quality assurance in food and feed production, and to the efficiency and profitability of biogas operations.
