The small town of Schermbeck, located in the north-west of North Rhine-Westphalia, is the location of our WEST office. With this location, we want to offer our customers from the Westphalian Münsterland, Lower Rhine, Ruhr area, Rhineland and the neighboring Netherlands direct and competent contacts from the region. Our branch is managed by Dr. agr. Martin Schmid.

He is also the managing director and shareholder of BIOPRACT ABT GmbH, whose main responsibilities include selling BIOPRACT products and advising biogas plant operators. He is supported by biogas expert Jan Maas, who primarily works as a consultant in the field.

  • – In 2010, he completed his degree in agricultural sciences at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Bonn, specializing in crop production.
  • – In 2013, he completed his doctorate at the same university in the field of renewable raw materials.
    From 2012 to 2017, he was a consultant for crop production systems and renewable raw materials at the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Agriculture.

  • – In 2017, Dr. agr. Martin Schmid was appointed Managing Director of BIOPRACT ABT GmbH. In 2020, he also became a shareholder of the company.
