Unstable processes, excessive power consumption due to high agitator effort and associated performance losses are often caused by insufficient flowability of the fermenter contents. The use of a new test system for the selection and application of optimal enzyme mixtures to optimize viscosity and substantially improve flowability promises a remedy.
