Development of new Feed Additives

Competences in the field of bioprocess research and development are an important asset in setting up and carrying out screening efforts for new additives.

Another research platform further developed by Biopract is based on the HFT (Hohenheimer Futterwerttest), an in vitro test based on rumen fluid. In cooperation with the Free University of Berlin, Institute for Animal Physiology we conduct extensive screenings of new feed additives for ruminants such as enzymes. Here we exploit synergies with our biogas expertise to the advantage of our partner DSM Nutritional Products Ltd.

Apart from participating in exciting multi-disciplinary research projects, the advantage for Biopract clearly lies in the building up of new competences, which can be used for other applications.
